To celebrate 20 years of The Hip Hop Project we look back on some of the best moments from the longest running mix show in the country.

This week, Cannibal Ox released their first album in 14 years entitled “The Blade of the Ronin”. Can Ox will always be one of the groups that helped define an era for The Hip-Hop Project. They burst on to the scene with a progressive, raw style showcased on “The Cold Vein” back in 2001. Not everyone in Chicago was playing their records back then, but we did. Today, their debut album is widely considered a classic and we hope our support helped turn many listeners on to them. In honor of the duo that has gotten so much play on THHP over the years, here is a photo from May of 2004 featuring Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox along with Dujeous. Go out and pick up “The Blade of the Ronin”, in stores now.
